Today, i am at my cousin's house blogging. A bit anti-social but i really need to take this chance to recap my CNY if not i won't be able to when work resumes. I must say, i am very proud to say that i 守夜 till 630am on 除夕! Hope my parents will be 长命百岁& enjoy life=))
On the big day, i went to maternal grand aunt place with grand aunt all alone, not even a maid around to take care of her. Always felt sad for her since grand uncle passed away when i was J2, she was never the same. Still happy-go-lucky in front of us, but you could see tears well up in her eyes as well. I knew that grandma hasn't been visiting the place since grand uncle left and suddenly i was thinking, what is it like to lose a sibling to death. Never had a sibling, never will know. I really really really long to have a sibling, preferably a younger sister for me to take care of. Oh well, that can only be a regret now. Anyway, grand aunt was telling us how her son & daughter-in-law believed the maid instead of her when she was taking care of their 3 babies. It is so freaking sad that your child who you raised for more than 3 decades rather believe an outsider, thinking you may be "eccentric" or senile??? No matter what, i hope i will never end up like 1 of those unfilial son. Grand aunt, i hope you will stay cheerful & happy and don't think too much.
My exploitation to the north continues as we went to my paternal family in Marsiling. What a surprise in place, a $600++ buffet with the fried rice already turned sour. Ended up each family had to fork out $90 for that thing that i didn't eat. My mum KEEPS complaining about how the indian/malay delivery guy heats up the food, which was prepared the day before since most chefs wouldn't work on CNY, before making the delivery. Noticed i said KEEPS cause she is still going on about it, even till now!!! Well, i never liked going to my paternal family much but still i was disappointed not to see my godfather-cum-uncle. He dotes on me even though i probably see him less than 5 times a year!!! Always giving me ang bao money on my birthday, New Year & Chinese New Year. It's not the amount that he gives but the fact that he can remember my birthday that matters!!! I must start doing my thanks-giving.
Then went to maternal grandma place where i feel truly at home. Ate a few satays & played Rummikub before i rushed back home to welcome my friends. So guilty i had them waiting at my house void deck=p Anyway, SUPER DUPER WHOOPER happy to see the 2 girls!!!!!!!!!!! 1 is my HPY, the other is my Cherry! Also quite happy to see Kwang la, but obviously not as happy as seeing the 2 cute girls=)) Played mahjong & blackjack and was pretty paiseh that i won a lot. Highlight was that we witnessed 2 BLACKJACK as in ace & jack of spade in an hour, something i have never seen before. 21 times o.o Coincidentally it is the two 21yo who got that! Felt bad that they had to cab home, if only i have a car. Oh well, get to see them tomorrow soon! Pretty tiring to type such a long post, shall 在此罢笔.
